Visit Belém quarter, where you will find the most beautiful and historical monuments from the 15th and 16th centuries. A brief stop at the Belém Tower - world heritage by UNESCO (Torre de Belém), point of departure of some of the Portuguese maritime explorations, such as on the Monument to the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos), built to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the “death“ of Prince Henry the Navigator. Then we visit the church of Jeronimos Monastery - world heritage by UNESCO a masterpiece of the “Manueline” style and the Coach museum with one of the most important collection of old carriages in the world, (both closed on Mondays, replaced by visit to Ajuda Palace). Along the river we arrive at Alfama, an old and traditional district, where we have the opportunity to walk in its narrow streets, and visit a handicraft shop. We will pass by downtown to admire the most important squares of Lisbon such as the monumental Praça do Comércio; Rossio Square, the heart of Lisbon and the symbolic Restauradores Square. Then we drive along the Liberdade Avenue the “boulevard” of Lisbon to finish at Pombal Square with the statue of the statesman from the 18th century responsible for Lisbon reconstruction after one of the most deadliest earthquakes in History, the 1755 Lisbon Earthquake. |

For an unforgettable afternoon, we leave in direction to the village of Sintra (Cultural Landscape by UNESCO), to visit the Royal Palace, a charming spot where the Portuguese Royal Families spent long summers, and where the rich collection of glazed tiles (azulejos) and the two conical chimneys of the kitchen’s palace are the “ex- libris” of Sintra.
It‘s also possible to taste the delicious local sweets in the tea-rooms; “queijadas” and “travesseiros”.
Then we will drive through Sintra’s range where its luxuriant and exuberant vegetation is to be seen, arriving at Roca cape (Cabo da Roca), the westernmost point in continental Europe.
Along the coast, passing by Guincho beach, spot of windsurfers, Boca do Inferno a grotto created by the sea erosion, always with a sea view enjoying the landscape until the cosmopolitan Cascais where we take a glimpse over the bay. We return by Estoril where we can have a panoramic view of the Casino and its gardens. Return back to Lisbon.

Leaving Lisbon, we head north. Our first stop will be at Óbidos, a small village surrounded by medieval walls, with its typical whitewashed houses and wrought iron balconies, its handcraft and the famous Pousada do Castelo. Then we go on to Alcobaça to visit the church of the Monastery (World Heritage by UNESCO), the longest and first entire church in gothic style in Portugal, where e can admire the tombs of D. Pedro and of D. Inês de Castro.
Our lunch will be at Nazaré, the most typical and colorful Portuguese fishing village. If possible, we go to "Sítio", from where we enjoy a beautiful view over the beach and the ocean. In the afternoon we visit the wonderful church of Batalha Monastery (World Heritage by UNESCO) a masterpiece in gothic style, with his beautiful stained-glass windows.Finally, we reach the Our Lady of Fátima Sanctuary, an altar of the Christian faith and site of world pilgrimage. There is also the Chapel of Apparitions with its portrayal of Our Lady of Fátima. Take the time also for the location of the Basilica with the tombs of the three witnesses, and the Church of the Holy Trinity, the fourth largest inthe world by capacity. Return to Lisbon.

A journey through the Alentejo cork plains to reach the city of Évora, a mosaic of culture, history and traditions. Leaving Lisbon, we cross the bridge over the river Tagus where, through a beautiful and bucolic landscape of olive trees, cork oaks and vineyards, we arrive at Évora - UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the narrow streets of the whitewashed city of Évora we visit some of the most important monuments:
the Roman Temple, the Gothic-Romanesque Cathedral, the Church of San Francisco, with its "Chapel of Bones" and the University.
In the market we see and feel the richness of the product used to prepare one of the most elaborate and appreciated gastronomy in Portugal.
Throughout the visit, we also admire the diversity and authenticity of local handicrafts with objects of cork, ceramics and copper. After lunch, visit one for a wine cellar, where a wine tasting is included. After we head back to Lisbon.

The River Cruise tours by sailing yatch are operated by TagusCruises. Tour start and finish at Bom Sucesso dock not far from Belém Tower. Please be there at least 15 minutes before tour departure time.
Prices per person, including Skipper, insurance, 1 drink per person (1 beer or 1 soft drink or 1 mineral water), fuel and taxes. Please note that no official guide is included, the skipper will show you the highlights of the City from the river! Please be aware that in case of severe weather conditions, these tours may not operate.
The sightseeing tours by tourism bus are operated by Cityrama/Grayline with guaranteed departures.Cityrama/Grayline tour terminal is located by Marques de Pombal Square in Lisbon city center. Please be at the tour terminal at least 15 minutes before tour departure time. Picks ups may be available from your hotel to be informed after the booking.

Any tour cancellation received until the 2nd June 2020, is refunded minus EUR 15,00 of administrative charges.
River Cruises - if the tour(s) do not operate due to weather conditions, full refund will be made minus EUR 15,00 of administrative charges.
